Devin Flynn. Ironman Finisher!

Devin was in this pack somewhere. Seems like a lot of people but it's actually a small fraction. All the green caps are men and the pink swim caps are women. All those other little things are about 3000 bikes!

Everyone jumping in the water with seconds to go. Everyone who is competing has to be in the water by a certain time. There are thousands of people so everyone is moseying in until the end because suddenly they are counting down...30 seconds to be in the water....20...I felt nervous that they might not all get in on time because there was a line. With seconds remaining, people were jumping railings and jumping in wherever they could get to the water.

Devin said the water was very cold.

There were two bridges that were FULL of people lining the sides trying to get a glimpse. It was an awesome sight to see all those people in the water. And very cool to see Devin before he jumped in.

I kept getting the most awesome spots. You wouldn't think, because of my great spot, but I was surrounded by sooo many people. I just happened to get a spot right in front of T1. From here you could see a jumbotron off to the left where the swimmers came out. It's great to see them come out because if you've done even a sprint you'll know from personal experiance that it's not easy to run straight after swimming. Several swimmers slipped and fell. Being numb, disoriented and a wet floor makes for "slip" ups. haha 

Devin is about to come through the arch. He's wearing black with a blue and orange stripe. Orange glasses.

Out and back three times for a total of 112 miles. This is Devin coming in and about to turn around and go back out.

This is my awesome photography of the winner (who is not pictured) who finished in UNDER 8 hours...by about 7 min. if I remember correctly. Crazy fast!!! You could qualify for Kona at this race. So obviously he made it.

I was videoing Devin come in so this is the last still photo I got before he crossed the finish line. Devin is behind the guy you see here. But you can see him coming!

As an interesting side note, after Devin finished what did we do? We went to eat at In-N-Out. The videos don't seem to be coming through but I will try to repost them. Way to go Devin!!! Fish and Dave were also finishers.
